My expertise.
Full-stack web
01Next.js · TypeScript · Astro
I've built and shipped 10+ sites for paying clients, over $20,000 of work so far. I handle all of it myself: the code, the CMS, the domains, the hosting, keeping it fast.
Mobile
02React Native · Expo
I'm building grain, a film camera app for iOS, completely on my own: the camera, the GPU film shader, the offline upload queue. Before that I built frontend at a startup, Aperture AI.
Systems & data
03Python · Postgres · Supabase
I wrote the ~3,900-line Python pipeline that finds my clients and tracks every email through to money in the bank. In my apps the database enforces the rules: row-level security, locked transactions.
My work.
Real businesses run on this work. Every piece links to a full case study: what the problem was, what I decided, and what happened after launch.
The studio
OBdesign.
My one-person web studio. Over ten live sites for BC businesses, every one custom-coded and editable by the person who owns it. About 7% of the studio’s cold emails turn into paying projects, and I wrote the pipeline that finds them.

Featured project
grain
A shared film camera for iOS. Friends join a roll, shoot with no preview, and nobody sees a single photo until the roll gets developed. The rules live in Postgres where nobody can cheat them, the Kodak-style film look happens on the GPU the moment you shoot, and the upload queue doesn’t care if you have signal.

Systems
Lead generation pipeline
The ~3,900-line Python system that finds my clients. It scrapes, scores, and drafts the emails, then tracks what actually happens to every one of them. I run the whole thing from a dashboard it builds for me.

About me.

I grew up on Salt Spring Island and study software engineering at UVic. At nineteen I ran a painting business to $80,000 in revenue. Now the studio pays for my degree, and the projects are where I push the engineering. I finish things. If I say something works, there’s a link where you can try it.
